Discover DJ, sound is getting weard.

Postby Marienusz on 29 May 2010, 17:55

Hey everyone, when I'm using the Discover DJ with my external Fast Track sound card connected trough Asio4ALL, sometimes the speaker sound output gets some kind of "crunch" in it.
If I click on 48000 Hz (if it is on 41000 Hz) the sound gets normal, but in 10 minutes it's back.
What's the solution of this?

Hi Marienusz,

It sounds like a latency issue. Try adjusting your latency settings and/or turning off extra programs/processes.

Hope it helps!

It certainly does!!! If it is set to low then you will get audio problems :(

What is your ASIO buffer set at in the ASIO4ALL control panel? I would try it on about 512.

This figure seems to be OK on a lot of systems.

I agree with Jim, start at 512 and test it. If it works set it lower and test it again. So you can check step by step what you hardware is able to serve.
