Need To re-enter my Licence Key

Yes, it is the network card. I can repeat it consistently.
- Start computer
- start Cross -> OK
- disable network
- start Cross -> need to enter Licence.
- enable network
- start Cross -> OK

etc...

it is repeatable with same results all the time.

As I also disable network card when I gig.... so now I also have the licence key on a txt file to start, but it really should not be this way, it is verry annoying and it should really be solved..

That would fit to my experience.
Maybe Cross is doing some online check of the key?

Edit: I can confirm that it pops up if you booted Win7 and the network card is disabled. Just did it and the "enter license key" popped up.

Interesting: I clicked "cancel" when it asked for the serial. Then i enabled the network card again, started up Cross - and no ask for the serial.

Did you really stopped in the user control panel of windows the UAC ?

I always just disable the network with the hardware button. Then the error with the licence key will occur.

I just also tried disabling the network from controlpanel. Now is is working ok..

And Yes, My UAC is disabled.

At first, I was like :
network card ? I don't understand what it has to do with but anyway... let's try.

I did the test with my W7 and... only if I switched off the wlan with the network panel it will ask me for the key.
