Allright! Well the Conectiv isn t the best card i know but i didn`t know that it is that bad So compared to a U46 its a lot of noise, right?
You are right, it is a lot of noise!!! Never had that much while spinning with mine (ESI U46 MK II). Nevertheless I have mentioned that there is a lot (!) to improve in the Bypass mode. Yesterday I spun new CDs to check if everything went right while burning. So I mentioned that the sound is very bassful (? write it that way?). I have tweaked a lot in the preferences and the interfaces's control panel but the sound was not good. There is no noise as sakaana describes, but the sound has a lot of bass in it, less mids and usual highs. You can correct this while tweaking the mixers EQ but I think there is some improvement needed in the softare's audio core. Greetings, Steve

Will try the bypass with CD. EDIT : work nicely if you are not set in phono mode in the préférences/audio pan.

HAHA, okay Unfortunately this is related to my posts above. While I was spinning with CDJs I switched the input to line of course Switching to phono and playing CDs on the bypass is horrible. So it works really well for you Mr. S? Nothing bassy, everything correct? If so any recommendations to me? Greetings, Steve

Yes with a simple U-Mix44, I put a double Y on the output of the cd player. One end is driving the software then go to the mixer, the other go to an other mixer channel.
Both sound the same, you just need to adjust the gain.
With the U-Mix44 you should be in line within Cross and with the U46 line on the panel and line in the software too !

I did a side by side comparision as stated above and nothing wrong there. - both side doing this ? - tried an other mixer channel or input (or another mixer) ? - tried another soundcard ? Inside the software the cd is a real pass thru : in linked to out. but vinyl still need the riaa stage in bypass/line-in mode. So re-check that you have : - line on U46 - cd in calibration - line in the audio pan I'll get back later today with some analyzed materials

I thought Cross realizes this on its own so I did not check that. Thanks a lot Mr. S!!!!! http://forum.mixvibes.com/viewtopic.php?f=207&t=17083&p=103012#p103012
