On every forum regarding external soundcards + Mac OSx i see that there is no way of using Asio drivers. This is only supportive and effeciant for windows users, right?

Then you will use CoreAudio as long as your application support it.

Well i think that don't work either.. None of my applications know how to use the U46MKII in the right way..

VDJ just stills and crashes, when choosing the soundcard out (even pops up a "error in sound of CoreAudio") & TraktorDJ does'nt play any songs, when i connect the right outs.
I downloaded a demo version of Cross (knowing that it know's what to do, cause i used it before) and yes it works, just the left deck tho..

So im pretty much screwed i guess.. And im quite dissapointed

If you don't route the in and outs in the application it can't work.

I took a U46, plug it into the Mac then in the software I choose
U46DJ(4in, 6out)/samplerate/latency, then in the routing panel of the software I set each deck to an output : it just work !

May be your U46 is just defective !!!

i did exactly the same thing!
Connect the soundcard - choose it in your audio preferences - open the control panel (wtf do i need to do with that anyway) - open software - choose the same soundcard - connect the corrosponding in's & outs (i actualy only need outs because 1+2=left & 3+4=right) - hit apply - select deck A - import a song - hit play.... -->> silence!

Which software did you try it on?
And which samplerate and latency did you set it to?

My U46MKII isn't defective because it generates sound when i used it with the Cross demo, in timecode mode.

Are the ouputs settings of the U46 at 1.0 ?

Internal or external mode ?

Which software did you try it on?

With the german one.

And which samplerate and latency did you set it to?

Default : 44Khz / 30ms

but you said

You could outputs on both decks if it was ok.

I never tried this before and it worked for me in less than a minute !

Well after banging my head over the what the problem could be.
And trying what you recommended. The selution was as simple as 1+1=2..
I just had to unplug the TT's from the inputs on the box. Et voila, theres music..

to bad for the timecode though, that would be more awesome then just MIDI mapping..

Thanks!

There is something strange there : afaik the inputs can't shortcuts the outputs.
So I tried and it work even with the inputs plugged...
