I didnt mean i switch it when i want to bypass, i meant it as a permanent setting. Or have i misunderstood? This thread is about the physical switches on the U46 not some kind of software setting?

i did this, and get no sound.

Try turning up the 'software' amplification to see if it gets a signal. Preferences>Vinyl>adjust dB.

I`m finally back and now using Cross as well. When i have my soundcard (Conectiv) on LINE it works well with timecode.
But when i want to play "real" vinyl and switch the input to "line" into the software i got sound - but also a lot of noise in it?

Same here, no hard noise but in fact it sounds not good. So I changed the input to phono and it sounds a lot better. Works with phono too, so do not worry ;)

It is stronger than my noises. As I could see in the video the noise is already present without playing a record so I would suggest to change your cables. Which driver are you using and which soundcard? Maybe it is a driver issue.

Nopes. There`s simply no noise when playing timecode. On my current system it`s a M-Audio Conectiv. The noise def. comes from the software amps of Cross. It might be a bit more cause i use a different card as you. But its still too much.

And i got even no noise when i listen to the soundcard outputs through the mixer directly (Pioneer DJM 500).
So in my opinion it must be related to the software.

The software amplify by nearly 40dB the input in phono mode, so if your souncard have very poor signal/noise ratio the noise will also have a high outputs.

Allright! Well the Conectiv isn t the best card i know but i didn`t know that it is that bad ;)
So compared to a U46 its a lot of noise, right?
