Hi Guys I'm trying to hang on until the team implements MIDI learning into Cross but I'm getting impatient I would like to use Cross 100% of my gig's. I already have a Vestex VCI-300 (which is top class!!!!!) and a Hercules RMX but I can't use these controllers with Cross I'm thinking about getting the VCI-100 (which I know I can use) in the mean time. How good in this controller? ( if it is anything like it's big brother, the VCI-300 it should be good) and how good does Cross work with this controller. Is there any problems I should know before hand?

Hey Jim, if you can not wait until the new release the vci 100 seems to be your best choice. If you have any questions I guess you can ask phaded (don't hit me phaded for this don't want to steal time). As you can read in the forums he is working on his vci and modified it, so he is the man for questions about he vci 100. Greetings, Steve

Cheers guy's @phaded I've been looking around the net for a hour or so and I've noticed a black model of the VCI-100, I think it's the VCI-100SE. I do like the colour of this model better than the "original" one. Is there any difference (other than the colour) between to the two, mate I'm almost certain I'll be buying one pretty soon. My other half will be pleased and I'll have a right good collection of MIDI controllers going on

I think the vci 100 is pretty sweet for a MIDI controller !! most versatile of controllers(works with lots of DVS software) on the market ATM. Cheers

The SE has the 1.3 firmware on it which corrects some bugs (I'm not sure on the specifics, but that's what the site says), but it also changes up a lot of the MIDI messages the controller sends out. I vaguely recall seeing a video on how to run 1.3 firmware VCIs in 1.2 mode, which would be nice to do if you want to have a much easier time to map controls.
