The two inputs and two outputs are Left and Right. There's no point in showing another screenshot as it only gives the option of "Built-in Audio". But you're right with the Mac knowing the CP2 is plugged in... it just will not interact with the audio in any way. I've even done a fresh OS install today and am now running a fully updated Yosemite 10.10.3 and still having the same problem. So I have a Mac that plays videos (and audio) exactly as it should, but with no audio and a PC that plays audio but not video! I should take both and press Play at exactly the same time. Or move to VDJ instead.

Thanks for the reply... (I'm leaving this thread for the Mac problem only, I'll add screenshots and the video footage once it's downsized (292Mb) to the PC thread about the video (PC) fault).
All references to pictures are from the screenshots I posted earlier in the thread.
The problem with Cross on my Mac (a MacBook Pro laptop) is that the system knows the CP2 is plugged in (the third picture) but it is not available to select (second and fourth pictures) so hence the U-Mix Volume control cannot interact with it (first picture). I obviously know the CP2 works as it works on my PC and all audio functions as it should there.
The only audio out I can therefore use is the built-in audio from the Mac headphone socket, therefore unusable in a professional situation.
I am running Cross in 32bit mode, btw.

Got to say, it was working with Cross 1.7 in OSX 10.5.8.
Upgraded to 10.6, then 10.7 then installed Cross 3.3.10 and that's when the problem started. I did remove any mention of Cross or MixVibes before installing the latest version, i.e. Plist files etc. I'm now upgraded to 10.8 and have 10.10 (clean install) on a separate partition. The same happens on both OSX installs though. (I know Yosemite isn't supported at the moment).
The UMCP2 is not recognised in any way as an audio device, it is "seen and known about" by the Mac. Tried different USB cables and different ports (I have two). I'll remove the settings file shortly and give it a try and let you know.
And yep, I'm running the 32 bit version.
