No bad intentions here at all. I just wanted to see if the level was actually as loud as I perceive it to be. There seems to be mixed feelings about this from others, which has left me doubting myself.

You're right, but personal feelings can't be shown on a graph, that's in everyone's head ;)

Here are a couple of tutorial on what limiting is, although a lot more in depth than the feature in Cross, but good to learn this if you are also into producing.
