great, That confirm 2 things.

1. hardware layer switch between deck works
2. hardware layer switch between regular layer and shift layer works.

What that means in term of MIDI mapping is that it is not necessary to use logic modifiers to switch deck or use shift functions.

Not using logic modifiers makes LED mapping much easier.

The last set of test have to do with the pads, I will be putting out a test file, now that I got solid information.
Looking good now, Thanks and I will be posting tomorrow again.

Okay I have just done those last tests here are my results just to confirm my mcx is not faulty.

Yes!!! This is a short test for hardware layer switching works for me too.

Press Shift +Play (Press and release Play repeatedly)
Does it studders? keeps jumping back too the cue marker

As you doing this Press Play and release shift?
Does it continue playing? This studders forward like repeatedly pressing play and pause/ stop start.

If you could just confirm this is correct FigDJ or Toff. Thanks.

Ps sorry about the time difference and hooking up here, but I know see the pattern so I will stop up later and confirm next tests with you and Toff if indeed the last tests I did are okay.

MCX8000Test3.mappings
MCX8000_ Map_ document.txt
OK here is the basic 4 deck map. Following additional testing I will be able to add more features.
No lights yet that is coming soon.
I included a text file and the map file. The text file is just a very short explanation of the functions that are mapped to each button/fader.

On the follow on features I need a test using the pads
Create a brand new map - No commands at all
Make sure you are on deck 1(player a)
PRESS the ROLL Mode (don't know if it will light up)
map any command to pad 1

Remember Deck Layer 1, Pad mode =ROLL.

happy testing.

MCX8000Test4.mappings
I just found a small syntax error at the end of the file. My apologies if TEST3 does not load. Please try TEST4.

I was so excited about posting something useful that I forgot to say that if you do the testing I requested.

Also

Whatever command you used, does it work?
Just post the file. What I am looking for is the address and channel used when on Deck 1 and Roll mode. Just the 1st pad will allow me to figure out the sequences needed.

Will work on that, bending is not yet mapped to the jog wheel, just starting with basic since I can't test.

When you say track search, do you mean moving within a track or using the jog wheel to search tracks in the collection.
If it is the second is not mapped yet.

Here is a file with LED. Documentation only shows one meter for master so I am not sure if that one will work.

For everyone keep in mind that this is as far as I can go unless someone performs the last test requested and send me the file.
