Loading same track in another deck shouldnt reset volume

This is something I dont really understand...
Why does loading same track in another deck reset the volume fader?
That is, I have one track loaded in Deck A. In order to play with some "manual" effects like echoes or flangers (you know, old school used to do that using two copies of the same record) I load same track in Deck B, but to avoid distorting the sound, I lower Deck B volume fader first.
Cross ignores that and reset volume fader to max.
This is annoying, because in internal mode it creates a distorted sound ball (it doubles all frequencies). Am I missing something?
IMHO, doubling a track shouldnt reset volume fader, could you please change that for the next update?
