Automix playlist using only one deck

I am dedicated to DJing professionally at weddings, it would be very useful to use a single deck to liven up the lunch / dinner with ambient music and let the other deck to have prepared other tracks

Automix in a single deck would not allow smooth transitions...

By the way, you can use 4 players.
As autoplay only used the first two players, the two others can be used for other purposes.

4 decks.. So needs soundcard with 4 output stereos..

Example with serato load one song with auto and when finish track, load next song auto ( without fade )

With virtual DJ cans song with fade in one deck.

is a good feature!

No...

Really poor automix, that's exactly want we do not want to do as it badly serves the DJ...

Probably handy for the user, but technically, this means there's two players in one deck. And why crossfading tracks in one player when you have several players (99 in VDJ)... Kind of anti-DJ feature in my opinion. But your suggestion is noted and will be discussed.

if you mean that prepare is selecting tracks it is generally faster to use the preview at the right of the track rack.
many other preparation is stored with track so you can use it again like loops and locators.
so maybe you can explain why you would need an additional prepare deck.

There is a way to do this, however it's not conventional and you need to have the right setup for it. Open iTunes or your music program of choice, and make a background playlist. Take the output of your headphone jack, and plug it into a free channel of your mixer. Now you have both Cross and background music from iTunes.

What I've actually done at a few weddings and dinner parties is load up my iPad with background music, and then pump that into my mixer for the times when I don't need to actively mix.

the idea was only a proposal for a new feature and not rely on third party software or with the use of 4 decks.
