More scrolling text

Postby djphaidon on 10 Jan 2013, 01:04

In the song selection window, it would be helpful if the song that you have highlighted would start scrolling text for any text that was larger than the box it is contained in.

For instance, a list of song titles looks like in the list

BAM
Burning for you
Casual Encounters of t
Casual Encounters of t

What it really is

BAM
Burning for you
Casual Encounters of the Third Kind (Girl on boy - original mix)
Casual Encounters of the Third kind (Girl on boy - radio mix)

You will say, just expand the song title bar, and everything is ok. But for 95% of all songs, the size works fine, and the rest of the needed information is exactly how I need it in the view.

With scrolling text for the artists, song, comments, and group blocks, the "normal view" that works 95% of the time for everything won't have to be resized just to see if you want the radio remix, or the original remix.

Cheers.

+1. But with the option to disable it 'cause i think it will demand more resources.

I don't think it will be a major issue on resources, so it gets a +1 from me. ;)

Hi all,

Thank you for your feedback djphaidon !
Yet I'm a bit worry that scrolling all these texts might turn your collection table into an amusement park ?

You will say, just expand the song title bar, and everything is ok.

I'd rather say, open the "Info" pane at the right of your collection, you will enjoy wider informations in the details section (for the highlighted track of course).

How about that ?

Best regards,
Nicolas.
