I am a fan of ableton live as i am a big fan of mixvibes Cross. I love every bit of them. From the first time i saw serato bridge i started wondering if there can be a way to compine Cross with live.
Then i stumbled in youtube video about ms pinky (DVS software) controling ableton clips via Max 4 Live patch.

So.. can there be a Cross vinyl control patch for Ableton via Max 4 live?
I think it would be very interesting. I don't know it could be commercial but it would definatelly sell MixVibes timecode vinyls.

+1 to this. Integration with ableton that doesn't detract from either software would allow for so much more.

I vote for MIDI beat clock... ;)

That way I can send it to Maschine to sync that back to Cross. :D

Hi cinq,
i like your idea.
There are Timcode control patches for Max.
The "only" thing would be to addapt the decoding algorithm.
I have not programmed Max patches before, so dont know how difficult it is.

I'm thinking that vst plugin of Cross hasn't got to be a full version of it. It could also be a lite one without fx or sampler. just decks loops and locators. also it doesn't need a library as you load the track from the host software's library.
Kinda like a Cross 1.7.1 vst plugin as i see it.
Mostly allowing you use timecode vinyls inside DAW software
