Can I block my setup (for WMS4)?
I need to lunch Cross without connecting my hardware, for prepare tracks and playlists....everytime Cross change setup to default internal audio of my mac...reconnecting my controller I must repeate my setup everytime???
I try checking and uncheking "automatic detect ardware on startup" nothing changes...this is a problem
Thanks
Andrea

I'm not aware of a supported way to make this happen...

I had a fix for MixMeister when it locked up on startup because the audio hardware didn't exist (wasn't connected) which amounted to a registry hack which REALLY sucked.

But my own experiences seems to show Cross being far more proactive in realizing something isn't attached and adapting to that change.

If you launch Cross and it kept your old device into the audio that is not connected, you won't be able to load/play tracks because you won't have any audio available.
Auto-select MixVibes devices at startup only work for MixVibes device.

Ok but take a look at virtual DJ for example...try it and think about modify your software...I came from that software..now I buy Cross and I want to use it...
with virtual DJ no problem when I reconnect my hardware setup came back ok...
A DJ don't need everytime to listen to tracks for preparing a playlist...
just give the possibility to "remember and recall" my setup...
Hoping you think about this problem
Tanks

Some kind of profile recall ?

Your seeing this from your actual pov but if you have a lot of controler or different setup, is it supposed to know for each of them the setup linked to the device ? or only 2 profiles with/without device ?

I have a macbook so if I lunch Cross without hardware connected it autoselect internal audio resetting my setup for wms4
I have only one controller American audio wms4...
So I need only 2 setup...or better I need to Block my wms4 setup the only one I need for work.
As I tell you with virtual DJ you can start the program it tell "invalid audio configuration" but don't reset setup...
but no matter about other software...I choose Cross because I think is better BUT I NEED TO BLOCK SETUP TO THE ONLY ONE (wms4) I USE TO PLAY IN CLUBS.
I hope to have explained the problem...I have an ibrid setup 2 channels (1 and 4) for software and 2 channels (2 and 4) for turntables (direct not routed in software)...everything works but I don't want to set a lot of things everytime.
Your midisetup for controllers are locked
PLEASE GIVE THE POSSIBILITY TO LOCK THE AUDIO SETUP TOO
I think that professional DJ want this...

Your midisetup for controllers are locked
What do you mean by that?

In the MIDI tab, you can assign a controler to a mapping automatically and this setup remain even if you quit the application.

He want something alike for the audio.

Hi andreakiss,

It used to work in Cross a few versions ago (i.e. only saving in user settings the audio config chosen on purpose and not automatically by Cross) , but has changed for some odd reasons, and unfortunately nobody's complaint about it.
You request is noted, we'll try to address it soon. I personnaly agree with you :)

I tried some workaround for windows 7 which seems to work :
Go to your User/AppData/Roaming/MixVibes/Cross folder and enable write protection of "Cross.settings".

Best regards

Thanks but I work with an Apple computer...and I don't want to try or discover myself...I've payed for a software and I want a software "perfect" and created for professional djs...I hope that Cross team listen to what djs want and work on it...someone tell me that in older version there isn't this problem...I would like to have the possibility to save and recall my setup...I don't think is a very difficul thing to do for a "programmer man" ...I'm only a user..I would like to have a "perfect" software...I work with software I don't have time to try and try myself to resolve a problem....I don't want but if nothing changes I must retur to virtual DJ (and I don't like this)
