Waveform Zoom Lock, -1 Waveform at all

Hi Guys,

wishing for a zoom-lock for the parallel waveforms,
and also suggesting to loose one pair of waveforms at all.
4 waveforms all together is more than enough imho.

There´s just too much going on in the GUI right now.

cheers
j

I agree in part.

The ability to hide the large waveform at the top of Cross GUI would be good, IMO.

Hi there,

already noted the request of being able to hide the "mathcing view".

However, about the zoom lock, I can't see how this would be possible, as the only purpose of this view is to see how tow songs match with each other. No zoom, no match, useless !

Cheers mates,

obviously i didn´t make my self clear ;)

I meant lock the zoom of the parallel waveforms to a fixed rate.
It´s just annoying as (don't write f...k thanks)) having to lock to different waveforms for different informations.

Eg. whe cueing/scratching a record the parallel waveforms become useless as the zoom is currently dynamic to the tc-movement.
slow movement->higher zoom rate.

solution: fixed zoom rate!

Obviously, I DID not make myself clear

This zoom must be dynamic so that when you match two tracks that weren't at the same BPM, you can see them matched !

I agree in some cases the dynamic zoom is annoying, but there's until now no solution (except from getting rid of this view ^^).

You might have noted when you scratch, the zoom temporarily gets locked, that in theory the only solution but very hard to make perfect...

I hear you,

but wouldn't it work not to zoom/stretch the waveform at all,
Of course then there would only be one point (most likely the middle) be visibly in sync.

the waveforms would be running at different speeds but still you had a point where they would run in sync.

Anyway, how do you like my layout suggestion?
Now go make it  or DIDN´T I make myself clear

Yeah, that's f**kin' clear now :)

But, IMHO, most of the human beings won't see the sync if only at a unique point. Most of us will need to see the repetition of a "pattern" (the "pattern" being "one beat matched with the other") i.e. several beats matched.

I guess if we stop having this, we'd better get rid of it ...
And adding an option is not option
