Confused on Cross DJ Pro 4 Upgrade Pricing

Hi MV:
I own Cross DJ 4.0 (non-Pro) version
I am interested in the VST feature that comes with DJ Pro 4.2
so, if you can help me understand:
I have owned Cross DJ 3 (non-Pro) for years and upgraded to Cross DJ 4 (non-Pro) last year
Current special Spring pricing:
From Cross DJ to Cross DJ 4 Pro
$54.90
From Cross to Cross DJ 4 Pro
$44.90
First:
Why is it cheaper to go from Cross (any version) to DJ 4 Pro than it costs to go from Cross DJ 4 (non-Pro) to Cross DJ 4 Pro ?
aren't current Cross DJ 4 (non-Pro) users who have supported Mixvibes getting a bit screwed (upgrade price-wise) here when they go to Cross DJ 4 Pro ?.
With the current sale of:
Cross DJ4 Pro
$74.90
... it's only like $20 to get a brand new version of Cross DJ 4 Pro versus what it costs current Cross DJ 4 users (to upgrade to Cross DJ Pro 4) who supported MixVibes all along (sometimes for many years).
Something seems 'out of wack' or overlooked here.
I know that some would say 'we are all getting a bargain' because the real cost of development is actually much higher than the couple of dollars we actually pay for the software.
I do appreciated the developers and all involved at MixVibes.
I'm really looking forward to the VST version so I can play from my DAWs (BitWig, StudioOne, etc) and my 3rd party VST effects in my DAWs.
-- But seems a bit steep for existing (long term) DJ 4 (nonPro) users to pay "upgrade cost" which is only 20 bucks less than a brand new DJ 4 Pro license purchase.
Thanks for your time on this.
