Hey All -

So I paid for my upgrade and downloaded Cross Pro 4 (Full Cross Version User Prior) and when it loads, there is NO GUI visible. I cannot see anything at all.

The tool tips show up if I hover over an area where there is supposed to be something, but there is nothing there.

I can get menus & preferences to open, but not correctly.

If i force it into Full Screen, there is a big black box over everything and the GUI is partially visible, but doesn't do anything.

HELP!!!

Hi DJRichoche,

Sorry about this display issue with Cross DJ Pro 4. It has been an ongoing issue in the beta versions as well, but the team had thought they got to the bottom of it.

It is not acting the same on my Windows 10 machine, so there must be something causing this. During the beta one user reported to the support email, that they had an automatic update for Windows 10 and an update for their GPU driver, and then the display issue stopped. They didn't give me any more details then that, and it hasn't seemed to help any others with this issue, but I didn't want to leave it out incase it helps you.

If you're computer specs are still

Acer Predator G9-791
Intel® Core™ i7 6700HQ 2.6 GHz (Quad Core)
16GB RAM
Win 10-64bit

Then I can report this to the team right away, please let me know the GPU in your system as well, since I suspect this bug has something to do with GPUs.

Thanks for the rapid reply.

I will try to update my display drivers and see if that changes anything.

The specs are accurate, but the laptop has dual display cards (the one onboard the CPU, and a secondary nVidia 970m that drives the external display(s) - unfortunately this laptop forces the internal monitor to use the integrated (CPU) GPU and can't be turned off.

It has screwed me in other DJ software (Serato DJ} as well but I tried the work around for that, and it didn't fix anything.

Please provide any updates asap, and feel free to reach out if there is any help I can provide.

Cheers

Daniel "DJ Ricoché" Geer

Update:

Installing the latest drivers for both video cards seems to have solved the "black screen" issue. Now to muss with the new software and start asking a million questions (since the user manual hasn't been updated yet)

Thanks!

Glad to hear it! Talking with the developers they do think it is potentially linked to intel GPUs and are currently working on a fix but glad updating your drivers did help, since it has not helped others.
