Monitoring music before playing

I apologize if this is addressed somewhere else, but I couldn't find it. I've been playing around with Cross for hours and although I have the built in soundcard in my laptop as well as a USB soundcard and headphone, I can't figure out how to monitor music. I used to use Mixvibes Pro and it was simple. I just can't figure it out. I like the interface a lot and there are a lot of nice features, but the ability to monitor songs before I play them through the main output is essential. Any help is very much appreciated.

Many thanks. I'll go check that out. Yeah, I am talking about Cross DJ for PC. I'm using it on a Dell 17 inch laptop. It has it's own internal sound card and I also have a logitec USB headphone set. In OPTIONS/AUDIO, Cross DOES see them both, but I see no way to select one as the monitor. Frustrating. It just seems like monitoring should be really basic to DJing. I used Mixvibes Pro for years and loved it. That's why I got this.

Asio4all is the solution since Cross 1.0. Will also work for Mixvibes Pro (if you run an old OS).

For most setups you would need this any way when DJing as the default Win WDM drivers have a huge latency and ASIO4ALL makes it possible to reduce this and the SC becomes more responsive.

So once setup reduce the latency to the level that you get dropouts and then slightly increase.

I appreciate it. I downloaded and installed Asio4all. I went into the program Asio4all and made sure my USB soundcard was listed and selected and off-line settings selected. Asio4all shows my USB headphones as active, but I have absolutely no idea where to go from there though. Options/Audio in Cross now shows 3 possibilities for output.
1 is "Speakers (2- High Definition audio device)"
2 is "Speakers (3-Logitech USB Headset)
3 is Asio4all v2 <<no audio device>>

Select asio4all as soundcard.

Goto settings of soundcard. Select BOTH soundcards. If you can select only one, click bottom right at one of the buttons to allow selecting multiple soundcards/channels.

Close settings and then select the outputs in Cross. Audio routing = dual stereo.
