Speakers and headphones issue

Hello
I would be grateful for some advice on two fronts. I have just purchased an HP Pavilion laptop (Windows 10) and installed Cross DJ software 3.3.11 software (64 bit). I have connected the U-Mix Control Pro controller to the laptop via USB and also connected a powered speaker to the output (1/2) via a RCA cable. The software is working fine apart from two glitches. The sound is only playing through the laptop speakers and I cannot hear either the master or cue track through the headphones. When I use I-tunes or you tube (via the controller) the speakers work fine ! Do I need to download some drivers on my laptop or would I be better buying an alternative software such as Virtual DJ ?

Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Graham

Set preferences Audio routing mode to Dual stereo.
You know have 3 knob faders at the right top.

Cue knob sets volume for Cue.

Mix knob mixes Cue with Main into headphone.

Each deck has a headphone button to activate the cue for the deck.

If you go to the download section you find last week's version of Cross 3.4.0

Other audio software have about similar audio routing as Cross
