Cross 3.3.10 noise bands on displayed video

when I play some MP4's, I get noise bands occasionally on them (typically at the bottom, sometimes on a side)
When I play them with other media players like VLC, those noise bands do not appear
Some of the content is Handbrake converted bluray/DVD sourced
Any ideas on where the noise bands are coming from? content? Cross? Windows 7?

Yes, I will upgrade to 3.3.11 this weekend...

Also ridiculous that I couldn't post 2 entries yesterday; your forum system complained and said too soon for 2 posts; then I posted a reply to responses on my post yesterday and it complained that I couldn't post so soon again for this entry!

if this is the primary means of tech support that this is thoroughly unacceptable!

It looks like Handbrake, by default, auto cropped some of the original content during the MP4 conversion process; this left the resulting MP4 in a H x V size that is slightly less than a standard size

Could this be the source of the issue? Can Cross only handle std video output format sizes?

I have the exact same problem and i'm on a MacBook Pro 15 inch. I have digitized DVD's with Handbrake and the videos look great on VLC or Quicktime. However, Cross makes noise bands on the right side or the bottom. It looks terrible when im djing to a crowded room. Not sure why Cross does it. Cross seems to be able to play any H & V size.

When Handbrake does any kind of cropping horizontal or vertical is when I get the noise areas; I am just going back and re-ripping my content with no Handbrake cropping values (all zero) and it seems like Cross works fine now; quite a hassle to go back and re-rip the content
