They would push their Software !!!!

I´ve read about the same Problems by Serato and Traktor
People want HID Modus but Pioneer give them not the Admittance to do that

The newest Traktor beta has HID control for the 2000 Nexus 2, which must mean Pioneer is starting to open up to other software.
I imagine the next update to Cross will also have it.
Also, HID control and the CDJ aggregator are two different things. HID is just for controlling software and does not require any drivers or software installed to get it to work.
The CDJ aggregator is for combining both CDJs into a single sound card, that way you can output each deck independently into a mixer and mix just like you would on CDJs (this is necessary because as far as I know, you can not use two soundcards with any software).

Joining soundcards is possible for long long time.
MAC has a build in aggregate feature.
For Win use Asio4all (since 2004).
As far ass I know the cdj aggregate also aggregates cdj control, not just audio.

I think the aggregate is audio only.
Pioneer indeed appears to be clamming down on working with third-party software for their gear support. Traktor is sufficiently different from RekordBox DJ that they might feel it has a solid user-base that is not gonna switch to RB DJ anyway, but they might still want to use Pioneer gear over NI gear (not recommend anymore btw).
And/or Traktor might have paid good money so Traktor DJs can use club gear at festivals (probably the more likely of the two scenario's).
Serato and RB DJ are so similar they are full-on competitors, so from Pioneer's point of view it makes sense (sort of) not to collaborate with Serato anymore, making HID with Nexus2 a feature only for RB DJ users, thus cutting out a serious part of the competition and/or to make them fork over big sums of money for HID support in their software.
Pretty hard to guess what is really going on at this level. Clearly customer satisfaction is not always as important as "my stuff first". As users we'd like to mix and match the software we love with the hardware we love. In an ideal world we would be able to plug and play any brand of gear with any brand of DJ software, right?
