Xone23C - CDJ850 - Cross & Pioneer PLX1000 issue, help.

Postby techerz on 02 Jul 2016, 11:33

Hey

Really hope you guys can help me out with this…

My setup is as follows:

Mac OSX - 10.7.5
Allen Heath Xone 23C - internally rewired to unable DVS
Full Cross - 3.3.11
CDJ 850 - version 1.12
2 X Pioneer PLX1000 TT (turntables) with MV timecode vinyls

I’m having trouble setting it to work correctly with DVS.
The CDJ is showing as Not connected via HID, it is connected with USB from the CDJ to Mac. There is a line connection from the CDJ to the Mixer (channel 4).

1 X Phono connection from TT to phono channel 1
1 X Phono connection from TT to phono channel 3

Using the Xone23C to switch between mixing with the two TTs channel 1 and 3 and then also be able to mix from channel 1 TT to CDJ channel 4 .
Im under the impression, mixing this way will be fine. However setting this up in MixVibes has thrown me.

I keep seeing - set up an aggregate - online, however I didn’t think I needed this with the Xone setup which has the internal sound card….

I have attached the images below to try to assist.

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks

Don't think I can help you to solve completely due to lack of knowledge, but can help to to narrow down until a more knowledgeable user comes by..

Aggregate soundcard is only needed when you want to use multiple soundcards at the same time, like external and internal.

Did you follow instructions for setup of CDJ? In the menu > Help > how to setup CDJ.

You did connect phono 1+2 and 3+4? and not just 1 and 3? Timecode requires a stereo setup as difference between left and right signal is determines the action.

Try using a USB hub if you have, preferably a powered one. Use USB 2 ports.

Timecode only works for deck A and deck B. So in the audio settings your input 3/4 isn't set to phono.

You may want to try using Cross in 32bit Mode (right click icon to select on startup). This will exclude issues with drivers not being 64bit. once this works you can give the 64bit another try. As it uses the same settings it should then work... or there is such an issue.

Hope this will help you...
Ronald

Soundcard not available/working? Try the 32bit version of Cross (is also installed).
