Can I not import my album art in the list view. It clogs up the view.

Not really clear what is happening from your description...

On import the album art that is tagged in the track is imported. Not a file that in the same folder as the imported track.

To change/add album art click Info node at the right after selecting a track (or batch). There you can browse an image.

If you want to remove the album art from list view, right-click on the label "artwork" at the top of the list. A drop-down list appears with all the columns that are active in list view. There is a checkmark in front of "artwork". Clicking "artwork" once will remove the checkmark.

Now you will not see album art in your list view. Of course you can do this for everything you want to see or not see in list view to make it as you like it.
