Cross DJ freeze when routing audio through soundcard

Hey,

I am trying to record a mix through Cross DJ 3.3.11 but every time I try and route the audio through the external sound card (Numark DJ i/o) it effectively crashes the programme.

I have mapped the software to my Mixtrack Pro and everything works fine if the audio is just through my laptop but the moment I select the external device the programme becomes redundant as in tracks won't play- all I can do it joggle the crossfader and watch it move in the programme.

I've had a play around but no joy, any ideas what's going wrong?

Regards,

Finn

 couple of solutions
first ,,grey header at top of posting page has instructions for regerstering the software licence key
second ,,update software ,
third ,,check if doese the same thing in 32 bit mode,, if operates properly then you have issues with 64 bit drivers ,, one solution is to use 32 bit software ,, get proper 64 bit drivers for sound card,, or install asio4all and use this to run your sound card , ,,
by regerster the software it elevates the users permissions ,,

Please follow Daniel's suggestions, except for upgrade as 3.3.11 is the current version.

If the music doesn't play on change of soundcard you likely have an issue with latency (audio buffer).
Using ASIO drivers is the best. If you have a latency issue increase the buffersize by big steps. After this you can work your way down.

The higher the latency the less responsive your clicks etc. will feel. So you have to get it to a good value for you. Cross runs with <1ms latency, so it's all for the hardware/components/drivers to make this....
