3 3.11 always scans my videos?

When I'm using autoplay and I click on the left hand "files icon" the program always wants to scan my folder with my video files (which takes about a half hour). I can close Cross out and start it again and the program will want to scan the same files again.
Why does it have to scan the files and why not just scan them once instead of every time I run Cross?

Just a suggestion. If with scan you mean analyze, then you might want to check the permissions for the files and make sure that they are not read only.

Using Files node isn't the most efficient.
"Normal" usage would be to have all track (vid/aud) listed in the collection.
Basic steps:
open Win (mac) explorer.
drag a "root" folder of your file structure on the collection node; you see the cursor changing. (Do repeatedly if needed)
Select all your tracks in the collection (e.g. CTRL-A)
Select Analyze (right side node)
Your PC will be busy for a while (10-15sec per track...). So you may decide to do in smaller batches (put all in a new playlist, select a large bunch and remove from playlist once analyzed). Analyzed tracks will have an V mark (and a BPM /Key value/..)
Tracks that haven't been analyzed will be analyzed upon loading to a deck. For performance reasons you usually try to avoid this.
If this doesn't answer it, please let's know.

Thanks for the replies, I went with the collection idea and it seems to be working fine.
