DVS Ultimate install help.

I'm having an issue installing my copy of DVS Ultimate. I know that it was discontinued, but I didn't think that it would affect any future install. I experienced a crash on my laptop and wanted to do a fresh install on a desktop. When I fill in the initial info when I get to the serial number it tells me that my number is invalid. Is there a solution for this or will I need to go through the process of upgrading?

It is recommended to upgrade to Cross. If you have old software (over 6 years) and try running it at current hardware /os it can't be considered reliable.
