I plug in my controller and go to MIDI and select my controller and than when i go to use it nothing works exept a few things are mix mapped and when i go back to the menu it de-selected the controller. SO FRUSTRATING!!

I use the MT for several years with Cross without an issue.

What Cross version and which OS do you use.

You should use Cross in 32 bit mode (in win start the 32bit, for MAC right click to select 32bit mode).

Most issues have to do with initial use of a Mixtrack, or a change of port.
Cross gets the present MIDI (and soundcards) at the moment of startup of the program. So the device has to be connected (and recognized) before.
Almost all controllers are 'Class compliant', meaning the driver info comes from the device. Sometimes a reboot is required to get it to work. In this case be sure to use the same USB port, as changing USB port results in a (partial) reinstall. Only when it appears a port doesn't function properly you can try a different one (and wait a while).
To avoid compatibility issues (when having a problem) try to use a USB2 port instead of a USB3.
