DVS offset pitch range

Postby Minos Kritikos on 23 Nov 2015, 17:33

Apologies if this was answered elsewhere. In DVS mode, my pitch range is +-8% with my technics turntable.

I sometimes play a style of music at gigs that sounds awesome when you go below -8% and i have a gig lined up soon to perform this style but this time i wanna take a DVS setup instead of just taking my trusty U-Mix Control Pro 2.

Is it possible to offset the zero% in Cross so I can do this with my technics? for example; +8% on the table would be zero% in Cross, zero% = -8% and -8% = -16%

I understand doubling up on the pitch range would halve the accuracy of my turntable pitch slider so I'm not after that. I would just like to offset it.

If this not possible, then ill just replace the technics with my other super OEM turntables instead as they have 10,20 and 50%. Would be nice to keep my technics in the setup though if possible.

Thanks for any help
:)

ok i think i figured it out on my own. I put my table slider to zero% and then just dragged the pitch to -8% on the player with my mouse. I then pitched the table to -8% and the player was at -16%

LOL

Don't think there is such option, other than some manual intervention.

A theoretical alternative may be to adjust the tt rpm after calibrating. So the 'standard rpm' becomes different.

It would require to have the option to adjust as well as the accuracy to do so easily...

Guess your solution is easier to reset afterwards...

Ok this is working great now, god I love this software it's just great. Simply set your table at 0% and then drag the pitch slider on your player in Cross at a point within a pitch range (i.e. anywhere within +-16 or +-32). Note the timecode record must be spinning at zero%, not stopped. Then as you change your table slider, you move within that range... brilliant love it :)
