Distortion While Scrolling Through Tracks

If someone could please help me answer my problem it would be greatly appreciated so I know what my solution should be.

So I have been using Cross DJ LE for a good 4 years now and am up to the 2.6.0 Version. The controller I have is the U-Mix Control 2.

Today while I was playing some songs through the program, I would be playing a song on track A, and I would be using the turntable to scroll through the other song on track B while it was paused. This would then cause multiple distorted and slowing effects to the sound of the song on track B, and then would somehow cause the same effect to the song on track A. (And it works vise versa for paused tracks on track A).

Evidently this is very frustrating because I want to be able to scroll through track B or A on pause, while the other track is playing without any distortion. Now this has never happened before, and for 4 years the program has been perfectly fine.

I have found some minor solutions to the problem but it does not suit how I want to DJ:
1. I did not have Vinyl on, and when I did the distortion stopped, but I do not want Vinyl on.
2. On Hybrid and MT Mode the distortion occurs, but not on Speed Mode. (I commonly used Hybrid Mode, and never use Speed Mode because Speed Mode affects my current live song if I accidentally touch the deck).
3. When I held the Shift Button down and scrolled through a song, the distortion did not occur, but this is impractical to keep holding the shift button down, because if my seek is not on CD it is difficult to control.

On a side note, I have a feeling it may have something to do with my use of the shift button. I have barely used it over these 4 years (like never), and today I decided to use it a lot, and I believe this may be part of the cause of the issue, because often the program would glitch saying I am seeking through a song while it is playing and I'm not even holding the Shift Button down.

If anyone could help me figure out the problem, and a solution to the problem (like repairs, new controller needed etc.) it would be greatly appreciated.

Kind Regards, PaiLach

Basically glitches mean your CPU becomes used to intensive. As Cross didn't change for you likely other processes may be causing it to be closer to the limit.

Easiest thing to do would be to increase your latency (audio > buffer size). Make sure you're (still) using the ASIO driver.

It might be useful to checkout the Cross 3 as 2.6 isn't being supported no more other than with suggestions... For Win 8 and 10 as well as OSX Yosemite and El Capitan you need 3.3.11 to be supported.

Please let's know if the increase helps. Start with a big increase (like double). You could reduce gradually, so you keep responsiveness...
