"No MIDI device detected" issue

Postby Trevor Davis on 15 Oct 2015, 01:15

I just recently purchased Cross DJ and enjoy it, I am trying to connect my Hercules RMX controller but the interface just says no MIDI detected even though the controller is plugged in via USB and fully on (lights flashing etc.)

I have tried unplugging the controller and reopening the App with power on. Also have tried opening the app AND then plugging in the MIDI but nothing seems to get it to be recognized. It says that my controller is readily available to be recognized

I am sure this is a repeatedly asked question so I apologize if there is an answer for this question.

Thank you

First of all, have you got the latest Hercules Driver package installed? If not download and install

http://ts.hercules.com/eng/index.php?pg ... =215&cid=1

Open the Hercules Control panel, go to the ASIO tab. You should see to dots/buttons. One for WDM and one for ASIO

Cilck on the ASIO one. This should set the RMX to ASIO.

Next, launch CrossDJ, and go to the MIDI tab and select the Hercules RMX from the MIDI list. While you are here, does the tab turn green when you press a button or move a slider?

Next, go to the Sound Set up tab and set the sound config as follows

Choose the "Hercules DJ Console RMX ASIO" option from the Sound card drop down.

This was done with a older version of Cross but its very similar now.

Do you have anything now :?:
