DDJ-SX / Serato & Cross DJ (Mixvibes) / Audio Interface

I currently use the DDJ-SX with Serato, however heres the dilemma,

1) I want to integrate the 2no. Technics I have into my setup? Can I do this without the DVS add-on to Serato? Do I need or can I use an alternative audio interface other than the SL-3 or SL-4 (which I have had previously with Serato Scratch, but are very costly)

2) If this isn’t possible I’m looking into purchasing the Cross DJ software and moving over to their Software & DVS system, which I believe needs an audio interface. (Can anyone recommend a decent budget one that will enable be to connect both Technics?)

I currently prepare all my tunes in Serato but cannot use the cue points etc… in anything else but Serato, which is annoying as 90% of my mates and all the clubs use this with CDJs, so Option 2 has the added benefit of being Rekordbox integrated.

I’m not looking at spending hundreds here as the Cross DJ is only around $129 or say £85 and I was hoping to pick up an audio interface for around £100, so this would work out alot cheaper option than any Serato SL boxes (£400+).

Is it worth doing this? Any advice / pointers welcome.

A maior diferença entre placa da RANE E Native instrumentos são que elas capturam o sinal de áudio do time code em 24bits na conversão de analógico para o digital e isso é realmente bom para uma resposta precisa do timecode vinil, porem eu já utilizei inteface com 16bits como a U46MK2, MAYA 44 produzidas por ESI, ambas dão conta do recado usei também DJTRIM Produzida por HERCULES todas de baixo custo em funcionam bem,.. uma ótima opção é a MAYA44 USB+ http://www.esi-audio.com/products/maya44usb+/ , super compacta e já funciona em 24 Bits, aqui no Brasil é dificil encontrar uma dela para comprar, porem no seu pais pode ser simples encontrar.

The biggest difference between board RANE and Native instruments is that they capture the time code audio signal into 24 bits in the analog-to digital and it is really good for a precise answer from timecode vinyl, however I've used inteface with 16bits as U46MK2, MAYA 44 produced by ESI, both give the trick also used DJTRIM produced by HERCULES all low cost work well .. a great option is the USB MAYA44 + [url] http: //www.esi-audio .com / products / maya44usb + / [/ url], super compact and already works in 24 bits, here in Brazil is hard to find one to buy it, put in your country can be easy to find.

I use Cross with timecode vinyl, I can tell you that it is very good ... hugs

Hi,

Short answer, you can't do DVS with the DDJ-SX (this was added in the DDJ-SX2). So whatever software you use, you will need to run the TTs through a supported (Serato) or any (Mixvibes) sound card. Serato will be the Ranes or the recently released Denon sound card.

Mixvibes isn't picky and will let you use any sound card that is 4+4 (minimum).

The fullest version of Mixvibes Cross with DVS, with video and with HID support for all relevant Pioneer CDJs costs 129 I think. I believe that you can order that with two DVS vinyls too.
