Scratching sounds awful.

Hi all,

I've recently become involved in a lot of DJ work, and I wanted to find some good software that I can use during live gigs. After browsing I found this, I downloaded the free version and I think it's great - bar one thing: the scratching. The vinyl scratching sounds awful! It sounds really messy and the bit rate sounds like it's dropped incredibly. It sounds nothing like the scratching from something like Traktor 2 pro. After looking at several videos on this software I appear to be the only one with this issue.

Help would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks,

Eliot C-Hill

You should try the Cross Demo for vinyl support.

Where would I find this? And I'm not using vinyl controllers by the way, two MIDI DJ-Tech VTT-101's. I only have the free version of Cross DJ, meaning that I cannot add a MIDI device to it, however the scratching sounds so bad that I don't want to purchase unless it's fixed! :-/

Amber button at top of page...

As Free doesn't support MIDI you didn't scratch at all. Likely you just back and forwarded in CD mode somehow.
