Intel Core M performance

Postby Minos Kritikos on 28 Jul 2015, 16:56

Hi guys,

Just wanted to share with you that I got a lenovo yoga 3 11.6" with a core m 5y10c processor, 8 GB ram and 128GB SSD, windows 8.1 and although i was initially worried that the processor wouldn't cope with Cross, I was happily surprised to find out it did!

I tried playing with music from a USB 3.0 stick and also through the internal SSD and found performance for both to be fine.

It did however, improve performance to switch the beatmatcher view off. I had spectrum view for the waveforms and only tried mixing with two decks, no controller attached.

I will give it more tests with my U-Mix Control Pro 2 connected and report my findings later back here.

If everything works well, then i believe this to be a fantastic little machine for taking out to gigs and preparing mixes on the fly (think touchscreen controls) ;)

Cheers :)

Hi people of the mixvibes community, I have returned with test results from the field. I played a live two hour set on my little yoga 3 11 along with the mixvibes control pro2 controller without any hiccups. I have also been using it to prepare sets etc.. in my living room and on the road and I can say I'm quite happy with the core M performance. I hope this is useful information to someone.

Cheers
Mino
