Where can I find the current VCI 380 mapping, there's a few things not responding or not mapped.

Macbook Pro 2012 OS 10.9.5
running Cross DJ 3.3.10
using Vestax VCI 380

Seems that I am not lucky with my MIDI devices. I got myself a nice vci 380 and as it is indicated as mapped I hoped that it would work nicely. Now FigDj told me that the clockwise light on the jog-wheel is not usable in Cross, which is a pitty (please change this dear mixvivbes programmers!)
Anyway also other parts of the vci are not working perfectly. I believe the sampler pads to have different "layers" triggable through the buttons above. Obviously these buttons must work as modifiers as there are no differen "banks" as far as i can see.
I would like to have the cue points on the first "bank" when the first modifier is active, the effects on the second "bank" autoloop on the third and the samples on the fourth.
What do I have to do so that pressing the second oth third modifier turns the other "active" one off?
Is there a possibility to activate a certain effect directly through pressing one pad?
How can the outputs work in this situation? so that the outputs of the "banks" are shown only if they are active. example: Frist modifier active shows cue points (like in the official mapping) second shows active effect (if even possible) third shows active loop (auto loop)...

Cheers

Everything that you mentioned (except for the jog wheel )is possible and requires a long formulated explanation of how to make it happen as well as time to map correctly.

As i get the time I'll try to post information regarding your questions 1 at a time.

@FigDj I was hoping that at least the input part would mean work for someone else! Anyway, thank you for giving me hope. The priorities for me would be the inputsection: Change of modifiers and the effects directly triggered through the pads... I will be able mapp autoloop and samples myself (hopfully ;))
Absolutely no idea for the outputs - I am thinking of something like an "if" function dependent on the active modifier but I have no idea how it would work with MIDI...

Do you think it might be useful to open a thread "lobby for clockwise MIDI output" or something similar so that the in the future this function could be implemented in Cross - I mean even virtual DJ can do it ;) And for me personally it is very anoying

Couple years ago I placed a suggestion for supporting the clock output as a way to support ring display around the jog wheels. I even suggested the way to go about implementing the output but I haven't heard anything on this issue from Mixvibes.

I find it rather strange that a natively supported controller isn't fully mapped. Or is it just me ?

@FigDj
sounds to me like it would be worth a try starting a thread... perhaps there are more people out there who wish to have this function implemented...

@haga46
No it is not just you. I got this device in addition to other devices (for mini-mobile gigs ;)) hoping no (or only little) mapping would be needed (FigDj has already enough work with me). I understand that we have all special requirements to a mapping but like you i was a bit disappointed that a natively supported controller did not offer more possibilites out of the box. I think that not a lot fantasy is needed to map different functions on four different "banks" on the vci380...

Anyway ready for suggestion how to solve my mapping issues whenever FigDj finds the time or also anyone else...

nine month later...

...is there now full support for the mapping and for the clock output on the ring display around the jog wheels?

As far as I know - no
Frankly I am quite disappointed. FigDj even tried to offer his help to the mixvibes team, apparently it is not interesting enough for the mixvibes team. I started playing around with serato...
Its sad but for me it is not usable like that...
