How do I get audio on speakers and cue in headphones only?

I'm sorry, I'm sure this has been asked and answered but I wasn't sure how to look.

I have Cross DJ and a Lenovo Thinkpad- If I buy a headphone splitter will the program know to put the audio out of one aux channel and play only the hidden cues in the other?

Are there any speakers I need to buy to do this?

My laptop also has bluetooth and I have a bluetooth speaker, can I have audio simultaneously streaming to the Bluetooth and the headphone jack?

Is this making any sense?? Sorry I'm so confused :(

I'm not sure what the limitations of your version are but pretty sure you can cue.
Audio mode = dual stereo.
You can combine soundcards by using Asio4all. Can be downloaded from the asio4all.com website.
Install. Start Cross. Select and edit settings. In right bottom corner of asio4all menu you can switch setting to be able to select multiple cards/channels. Only select what you need.

If you have this you can choose what path to take. A 4in/4out soundcard works most simple if you want to explore djing further..

I'll give this a go, many thanks!

Hey there, I downloaded Asio4all and cannot open the actual program. I tried turning off all audio applications like the instructions suggest but to no avail. The only items contained in the installed folder are -the instructions -a link to their website -uninstall option. There is no actual program to open.

Have you experienced this? I feel like there must be an easier way to get the main audio to work with bluetooth and the cue audio to play from my AUX input.

Thank you

There's no program. Might be I was to brief in writing the steps...

Once asio4all is installed..
Start Cross
Goto Preferences / audio
Select asio4all as soundcard
select settings button in Cross.
asio4all menu opens.
at bootom right in asio4all menu there is a button to select advanced. You need this to be able to select multiple cards/channels.

select your soundcards to be used.

Close..
Double check you use Dual stereo in Cross settings.

Note
Use only channels of the soundcard which you will use. It depends on the soundcard if you can select to the channels level as some can only be selected at card level.
Each channel takes cpu capacity.

There isn't really any alternative. Asio4all is capable of creating soundcard with low latency by using WDM drivers (which as you may notice have way higher latency)

Thank you! This worked and I can now have 2 audio outputs, but now I have another issue:

both channels now register through both audio outputs. Even if the fader is all the way left or right, both channels can be heard. This happens on both outputs, and I cannot figure out how to have the cue channel in my AUX output and regular master level through the bluetooth speakers.

Am I pretty much screwed here?

 screen shots of your audio config and also the gui, where the three knobs for gain /mix ,,the mix should be fully counter clockwise ,,,to hear the pre fade listening /cue ,by itself in the headphones ,, try that

Sorry for jumping on the bandwagon.. I am totally having the same problem..I am using the mixvibes USB soundcard for headphones... Playing around with the different options I get various results though never the right combination! What screen shots would you require? I do seem to have a lot checked by default in asio4all.. I thought I had tried each possible configuration.. How to post photos?

You can add attachments to your post after registering your license key in your user profile. Also might help to show which product you're using.

Brief steps:
Dual Stereo in preferences / Audio.
Set the outputs.

In GUI: Knob fader at right top called 'mix' should be fully left to have Cue only.

Fair chance we see what's wrong at a glance when you post a screenshot of the
- audio tab of preferences
- asio4all settings menu
- overall GUI

And please briefly explain what you expect to happen at the moment of the capture (and what actually happens)
