Thank you Daniel.

If this is the real situation I am serius disappointed with Mixvibes because this is not a comatibility with the Hercules controller , and in the official Mixvibes web site they declaire compatibility with this controller.
In this case I will require the return of cash about the software.

Something must be going wrong in communication.

Any MIDI controller is compatible with Cross/Cross DJ.

The 4 Mx has a mapping build in with Cross (Preferences > MIDI > select it). This is as listed at the website.

Also Cross(DJ) is compatible with any soundcard. If you have problems first start using the 32bit version of Cross (or at Mac start in 32bit mode).

To be able to support you in the setup for audio it is the easiest to have the screenshots Daniel asked for. Also it is important to know what you expect to be hearing and what actually is happening.

General starter issues: Set audio routing mode to Dual Stereo. Turn Knob fader 'Mix' (at right top) to the left. Turn Knob fader 'Cue' to top (12 o'clock).

It might also be good to know that audio and MIDI are complete different things which have nothing in common. Different protocols, different drivers etc.

Hope this take away the confusion and will help you up and running asap...

I've used the Hercules 4-Mx with Cross for about 4 years now and haven't had any problems.

First of all, you need to set the Hercules 4-Mx to ASIO mode. Open up the Hercules Control Panel and set the soundcard to ASIO

Open Cross and go to the MIDI tab and select the 4-Mx from the MIDI list.

Next, go to the Audio tab and set the sound set up as this

I did this with a older version of Cross but it's just the same with the latest release.

BTW, if you haven't got the latest Hercules Driver Package it can be downloaded from here

http://ts.hercules.com/eng/index.php?pg ... =263&cid=1

Both 32 & 64bit Drivers are included in the Hercules Driver Packages ;)
