Tracks need relocating after update

Hello everyone,

I recently updated Mixvibes to the current version and when I loaded it up and tried to play tracks from my collection, they were all marked as needing to be relocated.

I'm fairly certain when I uninstalled the old version, I checked the option to keep the settings, etc. before installing the latest version.

What options do I have other than going through my tracks manually and relocating the tracks, album by album?

The location of a track is part of the collection database. You may want to check if something changed to the folder structure. As the install doesn't have any reason to change the location of a track.

If you select all tracks and right click you can resolve missing tracks.
Set for one track and the resolver will ask if it should try other tracks. All tracks with similar folder change will be found.

You never have to uninstall older versions to be able to use Cross. Unless you want to free some space.

If you had a rather old version you could have some tracks with invalid paths by having 2 paths written in the location field.

The red square with the Cross in it (that indicates a track is missing) doesn't appear until I click on a track. So am I going to have to select my albums one by one, select all tracks within the album, relocate and let it find the rest of the tracks for the album?

Like I said, is there a faster way of doing this? Doing it album by album is going to take a long time.

The answer is there already...
select ALL your tracks. right click to select 'resolve missing tracks'.
relocate 1 and the missing tracks resolver will ask if it should try others as well.
or
option 2
here you don't have to select anything.
Menu > collection > resolve missing tracks....

In case you have some doubt on how it works, just make a copy of your collection file (when Cross is closed and the .journal file is gone)

Thanks for the replies RoJeC.

This should be all the information I need to stop my issues from happening again. Thank you.
