Cross DVS: No gain with external mixer mode

I'm using a Xone:23C for a DVS setup and annoyingly there's no gain control on either deck. I get that this is because if you're using an external mixer then you don't need the gain in mixvibes, but because I'm using the internal soundcard on the Xone I need the internal gains on mixvibe if I want to up the gain on a track. Is there some way round this or could you guys update this in the next version?

If your channel metering is going red, you can alter the track's embedded auto gain, the setting is behind 'info' panel. The setting is saved within track data so you only need to set it once for a track. For most of the tracks the auto gain works well for me at least.

The track gain field can also be enabled in the track rack.
The output level that Cross delivers when master is full open and tracks are analysed is at line level.
You could check if your soundcard has a volume option in its settings.
Increasing Cross output above line level Isn't something that would be an option.

To be clear, the auto-gain works very well for most tracks, but for example I tried to mix one of my own tracks which not being mastered was really quiet, and that's when I needed to up the gain. In any case, thank you very much for the help!

Longer pieces of silence reduce the auto track gain.
If you record with Cross then you should keep in mind that master full open is the line level. So anything less is less....
