Moving Track in a playlist

I have just upgraded from Cross DJ v2.5 to v3.3 and there seems to be a change in functionality with the moving of track in a playlist.

In the previous version you could highlight the tracks you wanted, hold down the left mouse button, and then scroll up and down the page using the arrow keys to located the position you want to drop the tracks in to. In the new version to can only drop the track between those shown on the screen as the scroll does not work when you have something selected.

On a large play list having to move the track up the order on the screen, scroll up and then repeat this process over and over again is very time consuming.

Am I do this wrong or is this something that can be put back into the functionality.

The current behavior to be only able to drag within the screen is 'normal'.
It seems by using the arrows you found an alternative way in 2.5. As far a I know the request for having the ability to scroll further then current visible grid dates from longer time ago then 2.5.....

A workaround can be to reduce the font size in version 3 (display tab). It's not the same, but allows for bigger steps...

That's a shame :-( especially as it was a useful 'feature' in 2.5 rightly or wrongly.

I guess I will keep my 2.5 version for editing playlist.

I hope that we will be able to scroll songs in a playlist with the new update ? this is really annoying and I guess many DJ's use this to order their songs in a playlist. Now it is really time-consuming and ridiculous !

I really hope they do DJ Greg it takes so much more time in the new version . I have kept the copy of 2.5 just so that I can order my tracks.

I doubt Mixvibes will do anything as they consider it to be 'Normal'. I on the other hand don't and have started to look at alternatives. Which again is a shame as I think this is a great product apart from this!!!

Indeed means I agree...

Longer explanation: replacing tracks by flac versions as I could easily prove to myself that with a decent sound system in a fast majority of the tracks I could recognize the FLAC over the 320 MP3.

So renewing playlists to keep them the same... Some are by 'Top 1000 / Best of decade etc, where order of tracks is pretty relevant. Cross doesn't really support this. Kind of work around I use sometimes is to rotate my screen 90deg so I've got a longer list visible to do the 'track(s) jump' ....

Thank you for your reply, can't really do this with a laptop :). Do you think MixVibe will do anything about it and reinstate the 'feature'?
