Livingstone MID-100

I have a Livingstone MID-100 that came with CrossDJ LE. The software is supposed to automatically recognize the MID-100 but nothing happens - the MID-100 doesn't appear anywhere in the settings and its controls do not register at all on CrossDJ LE. I have a MOTU ultralite unit as my primary sound card for my windows 7 64bit intel i5-4670K CPU with 16gb ddr3 ram. The MID-100 is recognized by other DJ software but part of the reason why I bought it was because CrossDJ LE came with it - I really want to use it with CrossDJ LE.
I have tested the MID-100 on my old macbook with the supplied CrossDJ LE software and it worked, but I really need to run it on my windows 7 box. Any ideas on why this isn't working on my setup?
Thanks.

Hi. Welcome to mixvibes.
It could be the driver is 32bit while you use Cross 64bit. Try using the 32bit version of Cross.
And please be sure you have current driver and firmware for the device. You'll have to check at the manufacturer website.

Hi Ronald,
Thanks for the welcome and for getting back to me. The version of Cross DJ LE I have installs into my program files 86 folder so I am guessing it IS 32bit. Regardless, I have tried reinstalling Cross DJ 2.02 AND 3.2.2 and I do not see any option to choose between 32bit and 64bit. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks

The first Version that using 64 bit is the 3.3.0
Cross LE is the Latest Version 2.6.0

Did you install Cross Free 3.2.2? The Free version doesn't support any MIDI controller.
The controller should be plugged in and recognized by the OS before Cross is started, as Cross gets the info from the OS and only asks on startup.

EDITED due to inaccuracy
I'm not sure what I did but after some trial and error it's now working. Thanks so much for your help.

Fair chance you didn't do really wrong. Controllers sometimes take some patience for initial use.
Some simple steps in case you connect to an other device:
- connect and wait for windows to have it installed. Most Controllers are Class Compliant, which means (more or less) the driver is installed from the controller itself.
- Reboot the PC/laptop
- connect and wait till recognized (faster than first time).
- start Cross.
And always use the same USB port. Using a different port means a new install.
And when it doesn't work.... use a different port.
When you have the choice use a usb 2 port. So usb 3 ports are free for fast data (like hdd). Audio takes <10mb (=usb 1.1 specs).
Have fun with exploring the next phase and don't hesitate to ask for support, even it may be present in the manual.
