can't load some tracks - track loading error

Hi,

when loading the tracks into Cross DJ on my Macbook, there's a message window called "Sandbox expanding" saying "Cross DJ needs additional read-access to browse tracks of your filesystem...pls select... and click Grant Access. This operation only needs to be achieved once."

But after clicking on "Grant Access", there's another error message "Track loading error" saying "Can't load track: This file access is restricted (OSX-sandbox limitations), you first have to resolve access by selecting one of its parent folder."

This happens not with all tracks, but only some of them, randomly.

I've got the full paid version of Cross DJ, the latest update (3.3.10). Mac OS X Yosemite, version 10.10.2.

Has anybody the same experience? Thank you for your help..

Michael

This is pretty rare. Think I've seen some like this years ago, but only by a beta tester.

As I'm not into Mac; my guess would be that you may have to grant read access to the tracks. This would be a quite simple and safe thing to do until some macademic may be of better assistance.

So I had the same issue but I was able to find a fix. Here are the instructions:
1. Locate the track(s) that is giving Cross DJ trouble in "Finder"
2. Right click the track and select "Get Info" from the menu
3. Scroll down to "Sharing and Permissions"
4. Find your account "Name" and change "Privilege" to "Read & Write"
5. Close Finder and try to play that song again in Cross DJ. (I recommend closing Cross DJ first, if possible and then reopen it to play the song)
