Sound Output U-Mix44 / Cross / Mac OS X 10.10

Hey Guys,

I'm really sad. I looked around every forum and community to find a way to get my U-Mix 44 Soundcard working correctly.
I just get 1 Output working, even if this soundcard is supported as 4x4
card.
I found a lot of ways and tutorials, but noting worked.
I also tried the step-by-step tutorial by stealthii here in the forum.
Nothing... I can't use the External Mixer Mode for my Setup.

I read every manual and every tutorial and support page and so on, but I never find a working resolution... :(
I also tried different Versions of Cross.

My Setup is

MacBook Pro 15" Retina Mid 2014
OS X Yosemite 10.10.2
Cross DJ 3 (latest Version)
Interface: U-Mix 44
Mixer: Behringer DJX700
Turntables: American Audio TTD2400

Turn 1 is in Input 1 from Interface
Turn 2 is in Input 2 from Interface
Mixer Chan 1 in Output 1
Mixer Chan 2 in Output 2

Like a normal DVS... (Yeah... New MacBook, old Techs^^Turns and Mixer are working really great :P )

But I just get Sound out of the 1 Chan from the interface and I really don't know how to fix this... :(

Thanks for your help

Greetings
Dennis

Btw thanks for providing the details.

Hey so far and thanks for the fast response! :)
Well, I guess you're just able to help, if you know what I'm talking about^^ And providing information is thebest way to get helped out.

I tried to run it in 32 bit mode, but it happened nothing, too... :/

But I solved the provlem! And I really don't know how!
Sadly I decieded to deinstall Cross and everything else belong to it like the U-Mix44 Controll Driver (CleanMyMac is fantastic for this!)...

But I don't like giving up, so I decieded to reinstall it and try it again.
The last time I connected the U-Mix44 and installed its driver directly. Than installed Cross and started failing all the time...

But for me this way still works (while writing this I'm sitting down in the kitchen every device unplugged of my Mac) and I really hope that it would be an impression for you, too.

This time I installed Cross frist. Than opend the Sound configuration and set up the Mixer Mode to 'External Mixer Cue', like it's said in U-Mix44 Manual.
After that I plugged in the Soundcard's USB to my MacBook and had a look at the Driver Settings in Cross.
"MixVibes U-Mix 44" appears and I started routing the In- and Outputs.
I had the Demo Tracks in the decks and started my turntables.

Remember, I haven't installed U-Mix44 Control Software!!
Only Cross!!

I looked down to the soundcard's output LED's and... Oh my god!
Just to be sure there's music playing in both outputs, I had a look down to my mixer and I just needed to jump, because it's working and I am happy! :D :)

I closed Cross and reopend it and it's still working!
I closed Cross, unplugged the soundcard, started Cross, replugged the soundcard and hey there, it's working!

Anyway, thanks for your reply.

Kind Regards
Dennis

Im having similar issues. Im happy to see yours is working for you. I'm fairly close to smashing my soundcard of a wall... :) I reinstalled Cross last night (version 3.2.1) as i was told that might make my card and mixvibes play nice, and it kinda helps... but still i'm having issues. Like when I lift the needle horrible sound still plays, (a wobble sound) one deck seems to randomly play in reverse, in absolute mode when i lift the needle to start a track from the beginning nothing happens.

I'll try emulate your work-round and see if anything changes.

Peace & Beats

Hmm... Seems like a Hardware problem.

Sometimes I got the same with my Turns.
Actually don't know the english word, but try to lift off your needles (this thing the needles are plugged in, not only the needles^^) and blow on the contacts.

Than go back to Cross to the Vinyl/CD settings.
There you could calibrate the timecode signal.
After that you should have the right Setup.

I hope that my workaround is working for you, too.

**EDIT**

Got it now! =D
Lift of the needles from the tonearm. So not diret the needle, just this thing between needle and tonearm...
wtf I hate my english..
I hope you know what I mean =D =D

Greetings and good luck

Looks like a Ground Problem.

Have you groundet your Turnis on your mixer or on your Soundcard?

Alright Jay mate... Using ST-150 Turntables, so internally grounded, and the Maya44 has no ground post...

Cheers dude

Haha =P
I'm a german guy working in the english queue for his factory...
I already HAVE to speak english all day long... Should be nearly perfect... :x

Anyway I hope you found a working way for your DVSystem?
Hmm about the grounding...
Try to connect the ground of your mixer with the grounds of your turns?
CDJ would be better with this soundcard... Ehm, do you need Genini CDJ-210? xD

Do you use your Turnis as Phono or Line

If you use it as Phono switch to Line

go Into Cross Preferences /Audio/ switch to Line and test it .
