Cross DJ & Hercules RMX set up help please

Hi All

Just bought a Hercules RMX & am having trouble setting it up properly with Cross DJ 3.3.10. Hope somebody can give me some advice.

The software has detected the controller and everything lights up. The stop/start controls, cue, wheels & pitch control are working for both channels through the controller but deck volume controls aren't working & only the left channel (Deck A) is audible through through the external amp/speaker set up (Denon amp & Tannoy floorstanders). The software is'nt showing any volume controls or crossfade on the laptop screen so I'm not sure if it's a mapping or software or controller issue.

Here's a pic of the audio settings: Image

Any help would be most welcome.

Cheers

Steve

Give this a go

It was done with a older version of Cross but it will work with later versions.

Make sure you set the Hercules DJ Console RMX ASIO as the soundcard from the drop down.

Cheers guys

Don't get the option for RMX with ASIO - it looks like this:
Image but setting it to Dual Stereo has brought the crossfade & volume controls into play.

Nothing in my headphones - is there something in the options I need to do or is it on the main screen?

Bought the software last week & cut n paste the serial directly from the download - where can I find it to register it here?

Can't get my 1210s playing through the controller either but I'm guessing that that's a Hercules not Cross DJ issue....

Thanks for your help to far.

Dan - whose the user with a similar set up on the Forum?

Steve

Go to the Hercules Control panel, then the ASIO tab. You should see to dots/buttons.

Cilck on the ASIO one. This should set the RMX to ASIO.

Relaunch CrossDJ, go to the Sound Set up tab and see if you can see the Hercules DJ Console RMX ASIO now, you should ;)

BTW, have you got the latest Hrcules Driver Package installed if not download and install

Think it's a Hercules issue - the latest drivers are installed but I can't access the control panel - just joined their forum looking for advice.

Here's hoping :)

What OS are you using?

If you're using W7, when you connect your RMX do you see a small record down near your system clock.

If so click on that and it should open the Control Panel.

If you're W8 then I don't know

Just a thought,

I see you have ASIO4ALL installed. Casting my mind back a few years ago I tried that program for something, I can't remember now and my RMX (before I sold it) didn't like it

Try uninstalling the ASIO4ALL and give the Hercules Driver Package another go.

Also you could try uninstalling both ASIO4ALL and the Hercules Driver Package and set up your RMX on a different USB port.

Install the Hercules Driver Package and then connect your up when the driver set up tells you too

Just chucking ideas at you here. I've never had any problems with Hercules products or drivers.
