I would like for the video transition to change to another transition setting after I crossfade to my next track....
For example.... Deck 1 is playing Transition 1 is currently selected Deck 2 is loaded and prepared Crossfade from deck 1 to deck 2 (transition 1 was used) When the fader is completely on deck 2; this is the moment I want the transition to randomize in preparation for my next track/video....
Each time the crossfader hits 0% or 100% I want the transition to change to another random/or the next transition....
Ok. this makes it relative easy. You can map this yourself to a key or control.
As mentioned if you add the function 'transition type' to the same control as each 'play' or Cue button (set to inc/dec). As you wouldn't likely use this button during the transition you're pretty safe. You can basically pick value 1. The number of times you press play/pause (e.g. for cueing) determines the randomness.
Don't think it will be easy to have it work conditionally by using begin/end position of crossfader. If it would be possible it has to be done manually in the mapping. You do run the risk that when grabbing the fader you go back and forth This may create the random result... = #drinks + booth stability + ...
Thanks RoJeC.... Upon doing some mapping browsing I did learn a thing or two!!! Your advice helped me help myself.... I sincerely thank you with my heart.... I've had this software over a year.... It's time to put it to use in my gigs....
My only drawback now is a missing video bank in Cross DJ.... That way when doing audio only files, I can click whichever video sample I would like to display.... Eg. A sampler pad (on screen/mappable) :-/ it was explained this only works for Cross 3.... Bummer....
