Virtual DJ Database Import

I'm interested in potentially switching from vdj8 to Cross because of the rekordbox cross-compatibility, and advertised ability to convert vdj database to Cross.

I downloaded the demo version of Cross today and tried to import the database. However, only a couple of my virtual folders were imported (and incompletely). Additionally none of the BPM, key, or cue point data was imported.

The ability to import my existing thousands of cue points is absolutely critical. Is there any way to make this work?

Particulars of my setup:

-Running windows 8.1
-Virtual DJ database version (looking at xml tag) is 8.0.0
-Virtual DJ database and all media is stored on an external drive
-Cross demo version is 3.3.10

Yes you can import a Virtual DJ database.
Go to: Collection and from the drop pane select "import third party database" and then lead mixvibes to "read" you database file. I don't know if it works with virtual DJ 8. I have test it with traktor pro 2 and it works really good. You'll have to analyse your tracks but all your cues and loops will be there.

Yes, this is the functionality I was attempting to use. I also verified I selected the right database file since if i open it in a text editor, I can see all my cue point data in there.

Perhaps it is a virtual DJ 8 compatibility issue. If this is the case, can someone chime in if there are plans to fix the feature to work with latest version, and if so, what is the timeline for this?

You are right. I tried a virtual 8 database with some songs and a few cues but Cross didn't import anything but only the tracks. So the team has to fix it.

Just thought I'd bump this up and see if someone official feels like commenting.

I'm still interested in purchasing this software if it can move my data over, and put me in a format where I can switch easily back and forth between rekordbox+CDJ and PC software+controller.

Yes you can import third party database.

Yes you can export and sync to recordbox xml.

You can use the Cross demo version to try before you buy. ...

Please see above posts. I am asking if there are official plans to fix this bug in a timely fashion? I would direct this to customer service/support but I can't find any such contact info.

I'm experiencing the same issue as Reo Baird. Is anybody looking into it?

There is not a new update since the first post, so you'll have to wait a little more to see if the next update includes a fix for this issue.

Did this ever get fixed? I tried importing my stuff from VDJ and I've lost all my cue points which is not the end of the world but is a super-huge inconvenience.
