3.3.10 & XONE DB2 ISSUE

Hi

Having recently purchased a DB2 mixer I had connected to Cross (3.3.prev one) using the XONE Asio driver and got my CDJ850 working spot on with the DB2 handling audio (which is bloody good).
Having upgraded to 3.3.10 it connects to DB2 but the CDJs dont control (pressing button on CDJ does get button flashing in Cross on PC screen?). I can flip back to the Pioneer asio which works, but Icant get to go through the DB2/CDjs now.

Any ideas?

Im still struggling with this. Since having originally got it working, i have only since managed to get the CDJs working with sound being handled by the DB2 for a maximum of about 20 seconds, before it stops.
The frustrating things is with each button press on the CDJ the corresponding button lights up on Cross - but then no action/sounds.

The only thing I can think is that my laptop is Win7 Pro 64bit, Cross only seems to work on 32bit with cdjs and the DB2 has 64 bit driver (32bit wont install). Its doesnt explain that it did works, but now doesn't :?:

PS If I switch to internal sound the CDJs work straight away, if i flip back to DB2 it stalls.

Have you tried using asio4all as audio driver.

PC being 64bit isn't a problem.

Thanks yes I have tried asio4all , but similar to the xone asio everything hangs when selected and again the Cdj button presses register on screen but no action.

I have just removed all drivers for CDJs and db2 and reinstalled, it actually worked for a few Minutes fine before it crashed. So it definitely does have the ability work and sounds great, I just need to figure what's is causing it to crash.

So you're trying to use the CDJ's for control, but the soundcard in the DB2 for audio output ?

From my experience the Pioneer cdj drivers only work with 32bit Cross. If you need 64bit for the DB2, then I'm not sure what the option is.

Yes I'm wanting the CDjs to work in HID and DB2 to handle Audio, which it does do but crashes. Everything at the moment appears to be pointing to the DB2 driver which have their issues from investigations.
I have just ran the db2 using the internal Cross mixer and it still crashes, and I have even tried the latest Serato software (which has official db2 support) and it still crashes after a few seconds just like Cross.
I have read that a powered usb hub has cured similar problems, which I may try if A&H support doesn't come good in the week. Very frustrating for which end mixer :/

Try using Version 3.1

3.1 isn't 64bit so won't be of use.

Using powered hub might help. Also important to check if power saving for usb ports is disabled.

The audio 'channel' best be connected direct to device. Try to use different usb hosts if you connect multiple devices. You have to check the PC.laptop specs to find out which port is hooked up to which host.

Right, after several weeks of messing around with settings, reinstalling drivers etc etc I finally tracked the culprit down to a 'Battery setting meter' and an internal sound card mysterious re-enabling which were between them causing my issues.

From lots of googling it seems that windows 7 6bit has more than its fair share of issues with various audio software using asio drivers. One great article is https://www.ableton.com/en/articles/optimize-windows/ and the latencymon app realling helped me figure what was my issue.

Anyway finally got the db2 working how it should, and with the cdjs in HID its really unlocked the power of Cross (even have the samplers working!!). Hopefully I can now concentrate on banging out some creative mixes.
