where is the AUTOPLAY function?

Postby haasie on 24 Feb 2015, 14:20

Dear forum members,

I am a complete digi moron (i cheer when i manage to turn on a play station). I had to buy Cross for my bar. All is installed and worked fine.

I been away for a week and upon my return the AUTOPLAY button (on the left of the screen at the bottom below thr iTunes button) has vanished.

Please help me... i use that function as i do not have a DJ so i let the system play music videos.

Whilest i am at it i better ask this too. I want the sound level of all the music videos to be the same so its levelled and i do not have to run to the mixer every time. Can someone advice me on this function too. How to turn it on.

Thank you very much in advance.

Kindest regards,

Haasie

 time to get computer savy ,,first off need you to regerster the software licence key in the fourm ,,,user control panel/profile/serial #,, this allows for software updates( free ) ,it also gives a special up grade price on other software , and also safly stores said key in case of loss ,
not shure how you lost the autoplay icon in the left hand node dock ,, will look into it ,,
also have you anyalised the videos you have been playing ,, take the time to anylise then and the auto gain will equalise them with may be a few exceptions ,, and thoese the gain level of the track once set in the info panel will not change ,,
lots to learn and we will help you throught it ,
will post a link for the manual ,,also in the top left hand corner the first icon ,,display /menue ,, will have a choice for help/manual ,, good reading and welcome to mixvibes

You can modify the node dock. This is the area where the autoplay button is.
You can change the order. If you right click you can select which buttons are visible.
You ca also drag names of playlists and smartlists and by doing so make a node of them.

Dear Daniel & Rojec

Thank you very much for your quick replies. I am very thankful as i could not use the program. Daniel, i will register my serial etc. like you suggested.

Rojec, thanks! Brilliant! That was the golden tip for the autoplay. I got it back :) Right click and maybe my staff or myself had turned it off.

This is the first time i have ever been on a forum and feel very good to get such quick support of other users. Thank you both.

Daniel, i do not understand you tip on the autogain. On an ipod or in iTunes you click one button and this makes all songs leveled. This kind of button is not in Cross? From what i try to understand of your tip is that i have to do it song by song, do i understand that correctly?

Again, thank you for your help!

The levelling of the gain is one of the steps in analysis. This is executed on loading a track.

However best would be to do this in advance. You can batch select tracks and click the analyse node at the right.

Analyzed tracks can be recognised by the V in a box-sign in one of the left columns.
