Hello guys,
just wanted to record a vinyl only mix with my setup.
I Got 2 Technics 1210 and the Allen and Heath Xone 23C with the Mixvibes Cross LE software on Mac.
so far everything fine but when i record the mix with both channels on line in the Audio (i selected wav format for output) is far to silent.
Can anybody help me and tell me who i can turn the Audio output louder without losing quality?

There are some options.
Recording is Line level when Main output is max. So basically this is the level for recording.
Your inputs have to be the same as your tt. So if your tt sends Phono the input level (in audio settings) has to be phono to. If you (can) use Line both have to be line.
Other problem may be that if there is a lot of silence at the end, the track when played back in Cross will have a very low track gain value for some reason. You can click in the header of the collection to make Track Gain field visible and modify (or use Info). The modification is stored.
Hope this provides some guidance.

Thank you for the fast answer! But unfortunately i am more or less a old school DJ if you want to call it that.
I am not really used to this software so this guidance doesnt really help me to be honest

The technics only provide phono and i selected phono for both inputs. So this shouldnt be the problem.
Do you have any other suggestions who i can make the mix in the end louder? maybe you can tell me detailed which option i have to change in the settings. thank you very much

Basically 2 steps that might be involved now setup likely is excluded.
1. recorded volume
2. volume of recorded track when playing it back (after analysis)
1. The volume is recorded in the way that when the Main volume is max you have Line level. This is like the max volume which is used for communication between hardware.
So Main to max is your reference.
2. When a track has a lot of silence, which is not uncommon in recordings at beginning and end, the gain as calculated by the algorithm my be off.
Cross determines for each track the relative volume, so if you go from one track to the other the volume should be alike and not every track requires setting volume.
The track gain field by default is not visible in the collection. Only when selecting a track and open the Info node (at the right).
You can make it a visible field by right clicking the header of the collection (column names) and slecting the Gain to be visible.
Once visible you can modify it (from -12 to +12db).
If this isn't helpful, please try to put some info in with settings you use.

Thank you very much. To turn up the Main Volume in the right corner helped a little bit. Could still be louder but it is far better right now!

But another problem occured: The bass is far too intense. How can i adjust this?
Even if i have the bass on the 9 o clock position it is to intense compared to mids and highs at 12 o clock...

You could try using a different equalizer setting (preferences > audio). Though I'm not sure the Cross eq is the source.
Is it only a problem in the recorded version, or also when playing vinyl.
If the latter, what about playing digital tracks.
I don't have tt experience, but you might have to reduce needle pressure a little.

The problem just exists in the recorded version and needle pressure is on the lower end of the recommended weight. So this shouldnt be the problem…I try the EQ. Thanks!
edit: Would it help to untick the enable limiter option? Does this make a difference?
And which EQ preset would you recommend? MV Classic or DJM or Isolator?
Does the Crossfader Curve make any difference? I could do constant loudness because now i had the mix option?
edit 2: tried some of it and nothing really has an effect…god damn! just want to record a mix.

EVerything is better in the digital world... once it works.
The recording part of Cross is quite old, as high quality audio recording hasn't really changed in over a decade. Only compressed methods have been changed.
If your live sound when recording is OK there might be some difference when chosing an other file type. Don't really think it is that noticable, but seem slike an option.
You do playback the recording in Cross I assume and have it analyzed before playing...

Hi Splintha - did you get this sorted?
I've got 1210s myself and was looking to buy a 23c until I saw a couple of comments on the phono level.
I'm wondering if the 23 would have the same "problem"
Thanks
