asio bug

Postby fadimat105 on 10 Jan 2015, 20:34

hi there at mixvibes!
I like Cross DJ a lot but since 2.6. I always have asio problems.
2.6. is perfect, I always upgrade and hope it's getting better, but it is not.

some computer, same soundcard, ...?

see the screenshots.

Are you using the 64bit version. If so try the 32bit version of Cross.

If that doesn't work check the manufacturer website for update of the soundcard driver.

Cross 64bit needs 64bit drivers. The only possible workaround is using the asio4all driver from asio4all. Com.

There are major differences behind the scenes between version 2 and 3. So there can be other issues, though v3 is out for like 1.5years.
I would suspect your hardware (soundcard) to have older firmware and/or drivers.
As Asio4All (most recent?) has problems this seems an additional indicator for that.
Even if current I would reinstall the sc driver (not the firmware) and see if this resolves it.

If still not OK an option could be to remove your mixvibes.settings file: path is like
c:\users\[username]\appdata\roaming\mixvibes\
Now first start version3.

Please let's know the results and if still problems please tell some about your hardware and setup.

forgot to write that I had to delete the 64bit drivers in the app/gin folder to get 3.3.3. working.

3.3.9. did not make it with the delated 64bit drivers.
