Cross DJ corrupts WMA files?

I downloaded Cross DJ Free 3.2.2, imported my music collection and analysed all my files (mp3 and wma) for bpm.

But now my wma files are not playable in Windows Media Player and the tags are not recognised in Explorer. It seems that Cross DJ has written an incompatible tag header format to the wma files. Even Mp3tag cannot read them and that has fairly wide compatibility. This incompatible header has rendered the files unplayable in anything other than Cross DJ.

Is there a way I can revert the header to something that is compatible with Windows Media Player (they are native Windows Media Player format after all!)

Thanks for any help,

Chris

I have many thousand tracks which are now unplayable.
They are backed up to Google Drive so I can download older versions of an individual files, but unfortunately cannot do this for the thousands of files at once. I could retrieve a sample file to offer a before and after comparison though.

If a developer contacts me I can email the files over?

It is just the file header which has been rewritten, and there's something which Windows Media Player, Windows Explorer, MediaMonkey etc. doesn't like - and won't play or read the track info.
